The Role of HR in shaping the public sector of the future
The HR community has been engaged in the overarching goal of transforming the public sector organizations from within and help the organization, amid difficult times, to steer a winning go-to-market strategy. “Vision 2030” has chosen a bolder, citizen-centric, outcome focused strategy.
From an Oracle standpoint; we believe that the public sector offers a multifaceted landscape, with all the challenges and rewards of societal change, adjusting to shifts in citizen priorities and a diverse audience needing representation. The overarching, paramount goal of the public sector is the outcome for the citizen. For this goal to be reached, the public sector is entirely dependent on their people, their employees to enable those outcomes.

The relationship between the government, the public sector and the citizen has changed. New relationships, based on the reset of societal need and expectations, must be considered by the public sector.
The focus upon providing a great citizen experience, should be applied to a great employee experience, since the 2 are inextricably linked. Citizens are expecting similar service experiences with the public sector, as they do in the private sector.
